LEBANON, Pa. – In a preview of the Landmark Conference championship course later this season, The University of Scranton men's cross country team had a strong showing at the Dutchmen Invitational on Saturday, finishing third at Union Canal Tunnel Park.

The Royals finished the event with 74 points, trailing only first-place Juniata (40 points) and the host, Lebanon Valley (52). Fourth-place Susquehanna was just a blip in the Royals' rearview mirror, finishing with 152 points.

Junior Eric Bartlett (Sayville, N.Y./Sayville) was Scranton's top finisher, placing sixth for his second straight top-10 finish. He completed the 8,000-meter course in 27:00.71, just 10 seconds off his career best for that distance.
