Junior guard Bridgette Mann (Canadensis, Pa./Wallenpaupack) had a pair of strong games to lead The University of Scranton women's basketball team to two Landmark Conference victories while helping the Lady Royals extend their winning streak to 15 games. For her efforts, she has been named The University of Scranton Athlete of the Week.
In Scranton's 75-70 overtime win at Moravian on Wednesday, Mann led the Lady Royals with 20 points and tied a career-high with eight rebounds while also collecting two steals and dishing out one assist. Mann went a perfect 6-6 from the free throw line in overtime to help secure the victory over the Greyhounds.
On Saturday, Mann netted 11 points while pulling down six boards and dishing out two assists as the Lady Royals avenged their only loss of the season with a 62-45 victory over Juniata.
Mann leads Scranton in scoring this season with 15.4 points per game and also paces the squad with 3.6 assists per game while averaging 4.8 rebounds per contest.
Mann and the Lady Royals will return to action on Wednesday night with a home game against Drew starting at 7:00 p.m. in the Long Center.
