Bridgette Mann (Canadensis, Pa./Wallenpaupack) had a pair of standout performances last week as The University of Scranton clinched the top seed in the upcoming Landmark Conference playoffs. For her efforts, she has been named the Landmark Conference Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week for the third time this season.
The junior guard averaged 26 points and 6.5 rebounds per games while shooting a hot 51.5 percent from the field including a 46.7 percent clip from three-point range while knocking down 11 of 12 free throw attempts. Mann also dished out three assists, collected three steals, and blocked one shot in a pair of Landmark Conference victories.
Mann enjoyed a career night on Wednesday, leading Scranton to a 65-52 victory over Drew by scoring a career-high 34 points, tied for the seventh-best single game performance in program history, and matching a career-best with eight rebounds. On the defensive end, she also collected two steals and blocked a shot in the win over the Rangers.
In a 62-43 triumph over Catholic on Saturday, Mann tied for a game-high with 18 points and led all players with three assists while picking up one steal as the Lady Royals secured home court advantage throughout the Landmark Conference playoffs.
This season, Mann is averaging 16.3 points and 5.0 rebounds per game. She also leads the team with 79 assists and has also contributed 14 steals and four blocked shots.
Mann, who was also selected as the Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week on December 18, has now captured weekly honors from the conference three times in her career. Along with this week's accolade, Mann earned conference honors on December 18 and January 22 this season.
Mann and the Lady Royals will look to extend their winning streak to 18 games on Wednesday night when they host Susquehanna in a Landmark Conference tilt starting at 7:00 p.m. in the Long Center.
