Senior Makenzie Mason (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks West) of The University of Scranton women's basketball team has earned Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Honorable Mention All-American honors as announced by the organization on Thursday afternoon.
This marks the second straight year that Mason has earned All-American accolades after she was named a D3Hoops.Com Second Team All-American in 2018-19. Bridgette Mann also received WBCA All-American honors in both 2017-18 and 2018-19 for the Lady Royals.

Mason led Scranton in scoring (14.0 points per game) and rebounding (7.6 rebounds per game) en route to a 24-4 record (12-2 Landmark) and the program's fifth straight Landmark Conference championship. The Doylestown, Pa., native was also named Landmark Conference Tournament MVP after recording a double-double in both games of the tournament.
Earlier this week, Mason was named All-Mid-Atlantic Region First Team by D3Hoops.com and also garnered Landmark Player of the Year honors for the second straight year. She became the 30th player in program history to score 1,000 career points in a 59-46 win over Susquehanna on Jan. 22 and finished her storied career with 1,189 career points, which ranks 18th all-time in program history.
Mason scored in double figures in 24 of her 28 games on the season and topped the 20-point plateau on four occasions. The guard finished the season on a high note as she averaging 16.1 points per game and shooting 54.4% from the field in the team's final 11 games entering the NCAA Tournament.
