Golf in the Northeast has been a trying endeavor over the past few months thanks to rainy weather handed out by Mother Nature. Thursday is the latest day to see the skies open up, causing the postponement of The University of Scranton women's golf team's match against Wilkes.
The two teams were scheduled to tee off at Huntsville Golf Club in Dallas, Pa. this afternoon. But steady rain since mid-morning that is expected to continue throughout the day forced the postponement. No makeup date has been schedule.
The Royals (7-0) will complete the fall portion of their schedule on Sunday, Oct. 14, when they host Misericordia at 12 p.m. at Scranton Municipal Golf Course in Mount Cobb, Pa.
