DALLAS, Pa. - Sophomore's Emma Nemitz (Moscow, Pa./North Pocono) and Molly Lennon (Melville, N.Y./Half Hollow Hills East) both carded a pair of 89's on the day, as The University of Scranton women's golf team won their second match in as many days on Sunday in a 364-432 victory over Misericordia at Irem Temple Country Club.
With the win, Scranton is now 3-0 on the year in dual matches.
For Nemitz, it marked the second straight day that she had the low score for the Royals, as she fired an 87 yesterday at Stonehedge Golf Club in a win over Marywood Saturday. Lennon, meanwhile, had her low round of the season on Sunday to match Nemitz with the low score of the day for the Royals.
Elsewhere, senior Brianna Stein (Basking Ridge, N.J./Ridge) continued her solid start to the year with a 91, while the line-up was rounded out by freshman Katie Pagano (Massapequa, N.Y. /Massapequa), who carded a 95.
The medalist on the day was Misericordia's Alexis Wyandt, who fired a 79 on the afternoon.
The University of Scranton women's golf team returns to action on Saturday, as they host Wilkes in a dual match at Scranton Municipal Golf Course. Tee-off is set for 12 p.m.
