The University of Scranton women's golf team was picked to finish third in the 2020 Landmark Conference preseason poll, which was released by the conference office on Friday morning.
Leading the poll was defending Landmark champion Drew, who garnered 70 total points and seven first-place votes. Catholic, meanwhile, was slotted second with 56 points and a first-place vote, followed by Scranton in third with 41 total points.
Rounding out the poll was Goucher (36 points) in fourth, Marywood in fifth (21 points), Juniata in sixth (19 points), Susquehanna in seventh (18 points) and Elizabethtown in eighth (11 points).

During the Fall campaign, Scranton posted a perfect 4-0 mark in matches, while placing third at the Landmark Conference Fall Preview held in Queenstown, Md. Leading the Royals all was sophomore Emma Nemitz (Moscow, Pa./North Pocono), who had a scoring average of 89.8 in six total rounds during the first portion of the season for Scranton.
The Royals will open their Spring slate on Mar. 29, hosting Wilkes at Scranton Municipal Golf Course. It will be the first of six matches for Scranton throughout the Spring, all leading into the 2020 Landmark Conference Championship, which will be held in Queenstown, Md. on May 2-3.
