Following a pair of victories last week, the University of Scranton women's soccer team held its sixth-place regional ranking in the latest poll released by the United Soccer Coaches late Tuesday.
Scranton (4-2-1) held steady in the Mid-Atlantic Region after defeating Marywood (6-2 on Wednesday) and Farmingdale State (1-0 in double overtime on Saturday). The rankings were released a few hours before the Royals drew with New York University, 0-0, in double overtime on Tuesday night.
The Royals are one of three Landmark Conference teams ranked in the Mid-Atlantic. They are followed closely by Susquehanna in seventh and Catholic in eighth.

The women's soccer team opens Landmark Conference play on Saturday, Sept. 23, when the Royals host Moravian at 1 p.m. at Fitzpatrick Field.
