Women's Soccer Remains Fifth In Mid-Atlantic Region Ranking

The University of Scranton women's soccer team held its fifth place ranking in the Mid-Atlantic Region from the United Soccer Coaches, released Tuesday afternoon.

The Royals (6-2-2, 2-0-0 Landmark) went 1-0-1 last week to hold steady in the rankings. They fought Wilkes, which is ranked eighth in the Mid-Atlantic, to a 0-0 draw in double overtime on Tuesday, Sept. 26. Four days later, Scranton pulled away for a 3-1 victory at Elizabethtown on Saturday, Sept. 30.

Scranton is one of two Landmark Conference teams ranked in the Mid-Atlantic Region, joining Susquehanna (9-1-1, 2-0-0 Landmark), which is one spot behind in sixth place. The two teams will meet on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Fitzpatrick Field.
