SCRANTON - The University of Scranton women's swimming & diving team finished off a slate of three straight home dual meets inside the Byron Center on Saturday with a 146-116 win over visiting Misericordia.
With the victory, Scranton is now 6-1 in dual meets. Here are some highlights from the afternoon for the Royals
- Both of Scranton's relay teams beat Misericordia on the day, as the Royals' "A" squad in the 400-medley relay in 4:07.97 and did the same in the 400-freestyle relay in 3:47.56
- On the individual end, junior Lauren Byrne (Cranford, N.J./Cranford) continued her early-season dominance in the pool, capturing three events: the 50-backstroke (28.61), 200-backstroke (2:14.94), and 200-IM (2:12.14)
- Other individual winners on the day were: sophomore Erin Wren (Allenwood, N.J./Communications) in the 1000-freestyle (12:10.66), sophomore Amber Diehl (Hyde Park, N.Y./Franklin D. Roosevelt) in the 200-freestyle (2:01.65), freshman Danielle Pikulik (Smithtown, N.Y./St. Anthony's) in the 50-breaststroke (31.54), and junior Audrey Campo (Clarks Summit, Pa./Scranton Prep) in the 200-breaststroke (2:27.10).
The University of Scranton women's swimming & diving team returns to action next weekend, taking part in the 2019 Diamond City Invitational in Wilkes-Barre on both Saturday and Sunday.
