Senior Nastashia DeNunzio (Dunmore, Pa./Dunmore) won the No. 1 singles flight at the King's Fall Invitational and was named University of Scranton Athlete of the Week on Monday.

DeNunzio dropped just three games over her three matches en route to victory over the weekend. The Dunmore, Pa., native registered a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Lycoming's Hannah Summerson in the semifinals and took a 6-1, 6-0 decision against Emily Fernandez of King's in the finals.

This is the second straight year that DeNunzio has won a singles title at the King's Fall Invitational.

The senior partnered with junior Marissa Campo (Green Lane, Pa./Christopher Dock) to add a doubles title in No. 1 doubles action including a thrilling 8-7 victory over Ashlynn Searer/Haley White of Susquehanna in the finals.

The Royals return to the court with a dual match at Lebanon Valley on Sunday, Sept. 15 at 1 p.m.
