The University of Scranton men's and women's outdoor track & field teams landed three athletes on the All-Landmark Conference team following their performances at least week's conference championships.
Sophomore Caroline Banas (Dallas, Pa./Holy Redeemer) was named the women's Rookie of the Year and a first-team selection after she won gold in the high jump on Sunday. She was also the high jump champion and a first-team all-conference selection during the indoor season, and went on to earn All-American honors at the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships.
Freshman David Gerace (Pitman, N.J./Pitman) earned first-team all-conference honors on the men's side after winning gold in the discus. He became the University's first individual conference champion with the victory on Saturday.
Freshman Emily Way (Garden City, N.Y./Garden City) took second-team all-conference honors by finishing second in the 400-meter hurdles on Sunday, giving Scranton a pair of all-conference performers on the women's side.
