BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The University of Scranton women's cross country team placed 17th at the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional on the campus of Lehigh University in Bethlehem on Saturday.

The Royals finished with 438 points in the 49-team event and Johns Hopkins won the team title with 88 points. Dickinson's Isabel Cardi captured the individual title in a time of 20:38.5

Junior Rachel Kerr (Archbald, Pa./Scranton Prep) was the top finisher for Scranton in 49th place as she completed the 6,000 meter course in 22:59.6. Sophomore Jessica Hoffmann (Millington, N.J./Watchung Hills) finished right on the heels of Kerr in 53rd place with a time of 23:06.1.

Senior Emily Burns (Middletown, N.J./Middletown South) recorded a 105th place finish for the Royals with a personal-best time of 23.55.1 and junior Nicole Parello (Staten Island, N.Y./Susan E. Wagner) completed the course in 24:00.3 to take 114th place. Sophomore Lauren Usaitis (DuBois, Pa./DuBois Area) rounded out the team's top five with a 125th place finish in a personal-best time of 24:07.9.
