The University of Scranton women's basketball team closed the regular season in dominating fashion on Saturday, defeating host Goucher 72-24 to enter the postseason with a 24-1 overall record. The #13 Lady Royals, who have won 19 games in a row, are the top seed in Landmark Conference playoffs after going 13-1 in league play and will host #4 Moravian in a semifinal contest on Wednesday night.

The visitors again held Goucher to just two points in the third frame while netting 23 points of their own to hold a 59-12 cushion entering the final stanza.

Despite the large deficit, the Gophers continued to battle until the end with Scranton finishing with a narrow, 13-12 lead in the fourth quarter to account for the final score.
