ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. -- Senior Kyle Robbins (South Windsor, Conn./South Windsor) of The University of Scranton men's track & field team finished sixth in the 100-meter dash at the Landmark Conference Championships on Sunday to lead the Royals.
Robbins finished with a time of 11.35 seconds, the best 100 time of the season by a Royal by .35 seconds. It was Robbins' second finish on the podium in the championships after he was sixth in the long jump on Saturday.
Scranton also placed a pair of relay teams on the podium with sixth-place finishes. The 4x100-meter relay team of freshman Peter Petsas (Pougkeepsie, N.Y./Roosevelt), freshman Brian Sawyer (Kendall Park, N.Y./South Brunswick), sophomore Jack Broderick (New Fairfield, Conn./New Fairfield) and junior Connor Sharp (Gaithersburg, Md./Gonzaga College H.S.) was sixth with a time of 49.27 seconds.
The 4x400-meter relay team of junior Matt Barrett (Clarks Summit, Pa./Abington Heights), sophomore Thomas Canny (Middletown, N.J./Mater Dei), junior Andrew Charway (Irvington, N.J./Christ The King Prep) and junior Stephen Grunbok (Poughkeepsie, N.Y./Our Lady of Lourdes) was also sixth with a time of 3:38.34.
Scranton finished sixth as a team with 27 points. Moravian won the title with 241.5 points, edging second-place Elizabethtown (218).
