SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The University of Scranton women's track and field team put together a strong performance at the SU Invitational that was hosted by Susquehanna University on Saturday.
Here are some of the highlights from Saturday's action.
- Sophomore Meghan McGonigle (Mullica Hill, N.J./Gloucester Catholic) finished second in the high jump with a mark of 1.55m, which is a personal-best and the best in the Landmark Conference this season.
- The Royals' 4x200 relay quartet of sophomore Ariana Baldwin (Far Rockaway, N.Y./Kellenberg Memorial), sophomore Lea Credidio (Denville, N.J./Mountain Lakes), freshman Fiona Burke (Exton, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) and freshman Noelle Gonzalez (Harrington Park, N.J./Northern Valley-Old Tappan) finished third with a time of 1:54.08.
- In the 4x400 relay, Baldwin, sophomore Megan Gorman (Staten Island, N.Y./St. Joseph Hill), Credidio and Gonzalez finished third in a time of 4:23.82.
- Sophomore Jessica Hoffmann (Millington, N.J./Watchung Hills) took sixth in the 3,000 meters with a time of 10:52.62.
- Sophomore AnnMarie Onwuka (Newburgh, N.Y./Newburgh Free Academy) recorded a season-best time of 1:03.01 and finished seventh in the 4000 meter dash.
The Royals return to the track at the Marc Deneault Invitational that will be hosted by Cornell University on Saturday, Feb. 22.
