SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The University of Scranton men's track and field team posted four top two finishes at the SU Tune Up Meet that was hosted by Susquehanna University on Friday in Selinsgrove.
Below are some of the highlights from Friday's meet for the Royals.
- Senior Shane McKeon (Royersford, Pa./Pope John Paul II) and freshman Christian Snee (Olyphant, Pa./Mid Valley) went 1-2 in the mile as McKeon won the event in 4:33.98 and Snee placed second in 4:40.22, while sophomore Timothy Lanahan (Mendham, N.J./Mendham) took second in the 800 meters with a time of 2:00.21.
- McKeon's classmate, senior Luke Shannon (Rockville Centre, N.Y./South Side) broke the indoor program record and finished second in the 400 meters in 52.38 seconds, surpassing the previous best time of 53.14 that had been set by Michael Trought on Feb. 29, 2020.
Scranton will be back in action for the Landmark Conference Championships that will also be hosted by Susquehanna on Saturday, Feb. 26.
