Scranton, PA -- The University of Scranton women's swimming defeated Catholic University 200-87 on Saturday afternoon at the Byron Recreation Complex.
With the win, the Royals move to 4-0 on the season.
- Scranton opened up the day with a win in the 200 yard medley as the 'A' team clocked in at 1:53.04.
- Freshman Kim Gringrass (Baldwin, N.Y. / Sacred Heart Academy) finished first in the 1000 free at 11:10.23.
- In the 200 free, junior Aviah Dahlgren (Honesdale, Pa. / Wyoming Seminary) came in first place at 2:00.65.
- Junior Alanna Kelly (Yonkers, N.Y. / School of the Holy Child) won the 100 breaststroke with a swim of 1:09.80.
- Senior Kayleigh Olszewski (Conshohocken, Pa. / Academy of Notre Dame de Namur) finished first in the 200 fly at 2:17.67.
- In the one meter dive, sophomore Nicole Stofko (Allentown, Pa. / Parkland) came in first with a score of 211.90.
- Senior Marina Nunziato (Cranford, N.J. / Cranford) won the 100 free at 57.69.
- Kelly won her second event of the day in the 200 breaststroke as she booked a 2:35.37.
- Senior Jaclyn Papalski (Flemington, N.J. / Hunterdon Central) finished first in the 500 free at 5:30.30.
- Senior Michelle Kong (Edison, N.J. / John P. Stevens) won the 100 fly with a time of 1:02.02.
- Freshman Chloe Furlong (West Creek, N.J. / Southern Regional) won the three meter dive with a score of 150.
- The Royals wrapped up the day with a first place finish in the 400 free relay as the 'A' team swam a time of 3:45.61.
The women's swimming team returns to action next Saturday for another home meet against Dickinson at 12:00 PM.
