SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Sophomore Christian Snee (Olyphant, Pa./Mid Valley) finished third in the 800 meters to lead the efforts for The University of Scranton men's track & field team on Saturday at the SU Tune Up Meet that was hosted by Susquehanna.
Here are some of the Royals' highlights from the meet.
- Snee took third in the 800 with a personal-best time of 2:00.25 and freshman Angel Perez (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Prep) finished eighth with a personal-best time of his own of 2:02.84.
- In the field events for the Royals, senior Kevin Duffy (Springfield, N.J./Seton Hall Prep) finished eighth in the high jump with a mark of 1.71m, while sophomore Matthew Ginnetti (Pipersville, Pa./Holy Ghost Prep) and freshman Philip Danchik (Woodbine, Md./Mount Saint Joseph) finished tied for ninth in the pole vault at 3.30m.
- Freshman Tony Hairston (Scranton, Pa./Scranton) also placed ninth in the long jump with a mark of 6.08m.
The Royals are back in action at Susquehanna next weekend for the Landmark Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships that will get underway Saturday at 10 a.m.
