ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Junior Shervin Mokhtari (Clarks Summit, Pa./Abington Heights) and junior Kyle Muirhead (Massapequa, N.Y./St. Anthony's) both posted top three finishes to lead the efforts for The University of Scranton men's track & field team on Saturday at the Muhlenberg Invite in Allentown.
Below are some of the highlights from Scranton's performances at the meet.
- Mokhtari finished third in the 110 meter hurdles with a program-record time of 16.62 seconds and also finished fourth in the 400 meter hurdles at 59.70 seconds.
- Junior Tim Lanahan (Mendham, N.J./Mendham) took fourth in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:09.12 and sophomore Christian Snee (Olyphant, Pa./Mid Valley) placed sixth in 4:10.65.
- In the long jump, Muirhead took third with a mark of 6.27m and sophomore Brendon Arcara (Chester Springs, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) finished fourth at 6.09m.
The Royals return to the track on Tuesday for the Misericordia Twilight Meet that will be hosted by the Cougars beginning at 2:30 p.m.
