BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Graduate student Shane McKeon (Royersford, Pa./Pope John Paul II) won the 1,500 meters to lead the efforts for The University of Scranton men's track & field team at Saturday's Coach P Invitational that was hosted by Moravian University.
Below are some of the Royals' highlights from the meet.
- McKeon won the 1,500 meters in 4:06.84 and sophomore Christian Snee (Olyphant, Pa./Mid Valley) finished fourth in a personal-best time of 4:07.81. Graduate student Luke Shannon (Rockville Centre, N.Y./South Side) also added a seventh place finish in 4:12.28.
- In the 800 meters, junior Tim Lanahan (Mendham, N.J./Mendham) took fourth place with a time of 1:58.72.
- Fellow junior Shervin Mokhtari (Clarks Summit, Pa./Abington Heights) added a fourth place finish in the 400 meter hurdles as he broke his own program record in 57.11 seconds, surpassing his previous record of 58.60.
- Sophomore Brendon Arcara (Chester Springs, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) finished eighth in the triple jump with a personal-best mark of 12.52m.
The Royals are back in action on Saturday, Apr. 29 for the Paul Kaiser Classic that will be hosted by Shippensburg University beginning at 9 a.m.
