Junior outfielder
Corey Zientek of The University of Scranton baseball team earned D3baseball.com All-American Fourth Team honors as announced by the organization on Wednesday morning.
Zientek is the first Royal since
Connor Harding in 2019 to receive All-American honors from D3Baseball.com.
It has been a busy week of awards for the center fielder who earned D3Baseball and ABCA/Rawlings All-Region First Team accolades.
The Sugarloaf, Pa., native put together a record-breaking season as he set new program and Landmark Conference single-season records in stolen bases (39) and runs scored (71), both of which rank in the Top 10 in all of Division III.
He hit .405 in 42 games with 10 doubles, five triples, five home runs and 51 RBI as he ranked among the Landmark leaders in triples (2
nd), RBI (T-2
nd), hits (3
rd) and batting average (4
th).
In a 16-0 win over New England College on Mar. 13, he tied the single-game program record with seven RBI and hit safely in 35 of 42 games on the season.
Zientek also posted a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage across 108 total chances and recorded three outfield assists.
