SCRANTON, PA - The University of Scranton women's swimming & diving team earned their first win of Landmark Conference competition against Catholic University on Saturday afternoon, 158-136 inside of the Byron Recreational Complex.
Swimming Results
- Sophomore Kim Gingrass won the women's 1000 yard freestyle in 11:15.61 and 100 yard freestyle in 56.46.
- Senior Aviah Dahlgren earned first-place in the women's 200 yard freestyle in 2:01.12 and in the 500 yard freestyle in 5:27.32.
- Sophomore Sophia Markatos finished in first-place in the women's 200 yard backstroke in 2:19.28.
- In the women's 100 yard butterfly, freshman Alyssa Bean took first-place in 1:00.63.
Diving Results
- In the first diving event of the season, junior Nicole Stofko earned the top finish in the women's 1 meter dive with a score of 226.60. The second and third-place finishes in the event were senior Kristie Schieck with 198.85 and junior Sophia Romano with 198.20.
- Stofko also won the women's 3 meter dive with a score of 210.20.
The women's swimming & diving team continue their season on Saturday, November 9 at 11:00 AM at Misericordia University.
