O'Malley Breaks Program Record in 500 Free as Men's Swimming & Diving Competes at Second Day of Landmark Championships

BALTIMORE, MD -- The University of Scranton men's swimming & diving team sits in third place after the second day of action at the Landmark Conference Championships on Friday.

  • Junior Jimmy O'Malley broke his own school record in the 500 free with a swim of 4:39.05 to earn silver.
  • Junior Will Tagliareni finished fourth in the 500 free while sophomore Chris Clarke placed sixth. 
  • Junior Matt Sherry notched sixth in the 50 free.
  • In the men's one meter dive, sophomore Tim Hause claimed bronze with a score of 249.05.
  • The 400 medley relay team of Craig Clarke, Tommy Nappi, Sherry, and James Cava finished third with a time of 3:30.07.
