The University of Scranton men's track and field team turned in a strong showing this weekend at the Paul Kaiser Classic hosted by Shippensburg University.
Leading the way for the Royals in Paul Kaiser Classic was Brayden Clarke, who earned a podium finish in the 3000 meters, placing third with a time of 9:00.68. Teammate Angel Perez followed closely behind in fourth at 9:09.64, while Michael Allardyce rounded out the top-five effort with a fifth-place finish in 9:19.14.
On the track, Owen Pollock delivered a strong sprint performance, finishing eighth in the 200 meters with a time of 22.57. Joe Castellano also cracked the top 10, placing ninth in the 400-meter hurdles in 58.96.
Scranton also found success in the relays, as the Royals' 4x100-meter relay team placed fourth overall with a time of 43.93, just missing out on a podium spot.
In the field events, Aedan Potenza represented the Royals in the hammer throw, recording a distance of 40.44 meters to place 14th.
Scranton will now turn its attention to the Landmark Conference Championships, set for May 2-3 at Juniata College. More information on the championships will be released soon.
