Dr. P. has been a member of the Department of Communication and Media faculty for more than two decades and is the university's NCAA Faculty Athletics Representative. She was selected as the Rev. Paul R. Beining Award recipient for her outstanding service to student-athletes and was also awarded the Provost's Enhancement Award for Integrating Mission and Justice into the Curriculum. In 2026, she was selected as the Alpha Sigma Nu Teacher of the Year.
She teaches courses in public relations, journalism, small group communication, and social media strategies. She focuses her upper-level classes on university mission by integrating Community-Based Learning projects that have been supported by grant funding. Pavlick's students have partnered with the Gino Merli Veterans Center, The Lackawanna Historical Society, Scranton Tomorrow, The Catholic Foundation for the Diocese of Scranton and more.
