Dr. Foley joined the University of Scranton faculty in 1999.  He earned his B.S. from Providence College and his Ph.D. from the University of Rhode Island.  He teaches biochemistry and research in his lab is aimed at establishing the biochemical mechanisms that regulate protein phosphatases and protein phosphorylation in the brain and how the chemical conditions existent in AD may lead to aberrant protein phosphorylation.
