About Scranton Ice Hockey:

The University of Scranton Men's Ice Hockey team competes in the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Division II Northeast Region as a member of the Colonial States Collegiate Hockey Conference (CSCHC). Our program provides student-athletes the opportunity to compete at a high level while representing the University with pride, discipline, and sportsmanship.

Season Overview

The Royals play a 20+ game regular season spanning September through February, followed by the CSCHC Conference Playoffs. Top-performing teams may advance to the ACHA Northeast Regional Tournament and ultimately the ACHA National Championships.

Tryouts & Eligibility:

Tryouts: Held annually in early September

Experience: Prior competitive hockey experience is required

Practices & Home Arena:

Revolution Ice Centre in Pittston, PA.

Practice Schedule: 2–3 on-ice sessions per week

Games: Primarily held on weekends (Friday–Sunday)

Travel: Away games are supported via charter bus transportation

Player Dues: Annual player dues help offset program costs, including: Ice time, League and conference fees, Officials, Travel expenses, Equipment needs. Dues vary by season and are communicated prior to the start of play.
