Jerry Davis will be entering his fourth season as an assistant coach for the Royals in 2025. 

In 2024, Davis helped guide Scranton to its second-ever Landmark Conference Championship and a bid into the NCAA Tournament. The Royals recorded a single-season program record of 30 wins in 2024.

Scranton posted a Landmark Conference runner-up finish in 2023 and won 26 games on the season, which is tied for the second-most in a single season in program history. 

In 2022, the Royals posted a single-season program record 28 victories and also earned the No. 1 seed in the Landmark Conference Tournament. 

Prior to coming to Scranton, Davis spent five seasons as an assistant at Lackawanna and also spent time at Marywood from 1995 through 2008. In 2009, he was appointed Head Coach at Marywood. In 2012, Davis was named Coach of the Year in the Colonial States Athletic Conference when his team established a program record for wins, qualifying for conference post season play and earning a bid to the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference regional tournament. Davis was again named CSAC Coach of the Year and nominated for Regional Coach of the Year in 2015 when his team won the regular season championship earning the top seed for the conference post season tournament. While at Marywood, Davis had wins over both nationally and regionally ranked teams. Several players earned All-Conference honors as well as academic All-America honors. 
 
Aside from his collegiate experience, Davis was involved with Baseball U of Pennsylvania for four years as an instructor, Assistant Coach and Head Coach. During that time, his teams won a countless number of tournaments. Davis was also part of the staff at West Scranton High School in 2017 when the team qualified for the District playoffs.
