  • His mother was the starting guard on the Lady Royals' women'sbasketball team that won the 1985 NCAA Division III championshipunder current head coach Mike Strong; she was also namedAll-American and  was selected the national player of the yearthat year.
  • His brother, Derek, was a member of the Royal men's soccer team(2010-2013) and his sister, Kelly, played for the Scranton women'ssoccer team (2001-2004); has a younger brother, Colin, who attendsnearby Abington Heights High School.
