• Prepped at Seneca H.S. where he earned five varsity letters while playing baseball, basketball, and football
• Won South Jersey Group 3 baseball championship in 2018
• Was named First Team All-Conference as both a pitcher and hitter in senior year
• Also garnered All-County honors as a pitcher and hitter in 2018
• Was named Second Team All-South Jersey as a pitcher
• Led baseball team to a 20-6 record during his senior year
• Is the son of Joe and Janine Hoey. His father is a graduate of Drexel University while his mother is a graduate of Rutgers University
• Has three younger siblings: Grace, Rosie, and Lily
