High school

  • Earned seven varsity letters during his career, four in baseball and three in football.
  • Helped Abington Heights win the PIAA Class AAAA state championship as a sophomore in 2009 and league and district titles his final two years in 2010 and 2011.
  • Was a four-time coaches all-star selection.
  • Hit .525 with 28 RBIs, nine doubles, four triples, four home runs and 26 stolen bases as a senior.
  • As a junior, hit .412 with eight doubles, a triple and eight home runs along with 22 stolen bases.
  • During the state championship run his sophomore year, Umerich hit .429 with 28 runs scored, 19 RBIs, six extra-base hits and 18 stolen bases.
