- Attended La Salle College High School
- Member of the swimming and water polo teams, specializing in the 50 free, 100 free, and 100 fly
- Helped La Salle to four Philadelphia Catholic League and District championship titles, along with two runner-up finishes at the state meet
- Four-time All-Catholic selection, 2025 Swimming All-American, and three-time All-State honoree in water polo
- Member of the National Honor Society
- Son of Victoria and Michael Sherry
- Has one brother, Matthew (Class of 2026), who also swims at Scranton
