SELINSGROVE, Pa.—The University of Scranton suffered a pair of 3-0 losses to 7th-ranked Juniata College and Susquehanna Universitytoday in the opening weekend of Landmark Conference round-robin play.
Against Susquehanna, junior co-captain Julia Crilly (Rochester, NY/Aquinas Institute) led the Royals with eight kills and 20 digs, sophomore Lizzy Zimmermann (Livingston, NJ/Livingston) had six kills, and senior co-captain Michaela McCrudden (Fort Washington, Pa./Mt. St. Joseph Academy) finished with 13 digs.
Scranton also received two blocks apiece from senior Kelly Johnson (Pearl River, NY/Albertus Magnus), sophomore Rachael Cisto (Oxford, Conn./Sacred Heart Academy), and Crilly.
The Royals, now 5-18 overall and 0-2 in the conference, will take on Catholic University and Moravian College tomorrow.
