SCRANTON, Pa. – The University of Scranton men's soccer team opened the home portion of their 2015 schedule on Friday night at Fitzpatrick Field and dropped a 3-0 decision to visiting Lycoming in out-of-conference action.

With the loss, the Royals fell to 0-2 on the young season, while Lycoming improved to 1-1 with the win.

In the first half, Lycoming leaped out to a three goal lead before halftime and never looked back, as they were able to hold the edge over the final 45 minutes of action to take the three-score win.

The Royals return to the pitch on Wednesday, as they hit the road once again for a match at Muhlenberg. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
