BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Sophomore midfielder Jamie Hreniuk (West Caldwell, N.J./James Caldwell) extended her scoring streak to five straight matches as The University of Scranton women's soccer team put forth a dominating performance in a 3-0 victory at Moravian in the Landmark Conference opener for both teams on Saturday.

Junior midfielder Hannah DeMars (Cranford, N.J./Cranford) and sophomore midfielder Brittany Uricchio (Glastonbury, Conn./Glastonbury) added goals as Scranton (6-1-1, 1-0 Landmark) won its fourth straight.

Hreniuk has now scored in each of the team's past five matches and now has a team-leading six goals. The five-match scoring streak by Hreniuk is the longest by a Royal since Emily MacPhee scored in five straight matches in 2008. Hreniuk's goal on Saturday came in the 70th minute and punctuated a strong effort by the Royals in their fifth shutout victory of the season.

DeMars put the Royals ahead in the 16th minute when she headed in a corner by sophomore midfielder Taylor Stevens (Yardley, Pa./Villa Joseph Marie) for her second goal of the season. Uricchio scored her fourth of the season early in the 20th minute when she converted off a pass from Stevens. The two assists give Stevens a team-high four on the season.

Scranton held a commanding 18-4 edge in shots over Moravian (3-4-1, 0-1 Landmark), led by Hreniuk's five shots. The Royals also had an 11-2 egde in corner kicks.

Senior goalkeeper Krissy Welsh (Swarthmore, Pa./Strath Haven) stopped the only two shots she faced for her fourth shutout of the season and 20th of her career, which ranks sixth in school history. Her 145 career saves are also sixth.

The Royals will be back in action on Tuesday, Sept. 27, when they host Wilkes in a non-conference match at 7 p.m. at Fitzpatrick Field.
