Senior outside hitter Kristin Kirwan (Park Ridge, N.J./Immaculate Heart Academy) became the all-time kills leader in Landmark Conference history on Wednesday night as The University of Scranton volleyball team swept Moravian in three sets in the John Long Center.

Kirwan's record-breaking kill came on the Royals' 23rd point in the third set, the second of three straight kills for the senior, who surpassed the previous mark of 1,751 set by Susquehanna's Lindsey Jankiewicz from 2007-2010.  Kirwan finished the evening with a match-high 11 kills in just two sets to extend her conference and school record to 1,754.

Scranton (17-14, 3-1 Landmark) needs one win in its final two Landmark Conference matches, or one loss by Elizabethtown to secure its ninth straight playoff appearance.

The Royals got off to a strong start on Wednesday with a 25-15 victory in the opening set before doubling their advantage with a 25-21 decision in the second set.  Scranton completed the sweep by cruising to a 25-11 triumph in the third set capped by Kirwan's milestone kill.

Sophomore Jillian Graham (Wantagh, N.Y./Wantagh) added nine kills for the Royals while senior Megan Monastra (West Chester, Pa./Villa Maria Academy) and freshman Eryn Boken (South Pasadena, Calif./Westridge School for Girls) totaled six kills apiece.

Sophomore Kyra Bevenour (Sicklerville, N.J./Washington Township) led all players with 30 assists to go along with 10 digs while Monastra and sophomore Regina Schetroma (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown West) tied for a match-high with 15 digs apiece.

Senior Catherine Manning (Eastchester, N.Y./Eastchester) had a strong evening at the net, totaling five blocks including one solo and four block assists.

Sophomore Kristin Bush (Cortland, N.Y./Cortland) served up a match-best three aces for the Royals, who totaled 10 aces in the match while outhitting the Greyhounds (13-14, 0-4 Landmark) .224 to .054 in the match.

Scranton will host a non-conference tri-match on Friday in the Long Center.  The Royals open the day against Gallaudet at 3 p.m. before closing the night against Lebanon Valley at 7 p.m.
