Scranton 3, Geneseo 1 (22-25, 25-22, 25-21, 26-24) | Box Score

After dropping the first set against Geneseo, the Royals came back strong over the final three sets, sweeping action to take the game over the visiting Knights in four.

Coming back was the name of the game throughout the game for Scranton, and it was no more evident than in the final set. There, it all but appeared that the game was destined toward a fifth set, as Geneseo opened a 24-22 lead on Scranton and looked poised to send it the distance.

But, Scranton picked themselves up off the mat, scoring four points in a row to take the set and the match. In the final run for the Royals, Graham had a pair of kills, while a Geneseo attack error ended the match, giving Scranton a two-point game-clinching win.

Overall in the match, Graham was a force on the attack, finishing with a game-high 16 kills. Sophomore Eryn Boken (South Pasadena, Calif./Westridge School for Girls) also had a solid game on offense, finishing with 12 kills, while hitting .318. Rounding out the top performers on offense for Scranton was freshman Caileigh Cox (Randolph, N.J./Randolph), who had 10 kills and three block-assists.

Junior Kindler Norman (Pittsburgh, Pa./Upper St. Clair) set up the offense all match, as she finished with 46 assists, the highest mark of her season to date. Norman also had 13 digs and two service aces, while senior Kristin Bush (Cortland, N.Y./Cortland) finished with 16 digs. However, junior libero Regina Schetroma (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown West) once again led the defense in the win, finishing with a team-high 22 digs.

Scranton 3, Rowan 0 (25-22, 25-22, 25-22) | Box Score

The comeback theme rang true yet again for Scranton in their nightcap with Rowan, as the Royal blitzed past the Profs in a three-set sweep.

Up 2-0 entering the third set, Rowan looked like they were about to pull away late, as they opened a 22-20 lead on the Royals.

But, once again, Scranton ended a deciding set on a roll, this time ending play with a 5-0 spurt to clinch the win. In the rally, Boken and Graham had a block-assist, while Boken and Graham each had kills (Graham's kill came with Scranton leading 24-22 clinched the victory for the Royals).

Overall, Graham once again led Scranton on the attack with 14 kills, while Boken finished with 10. Norman again successfully set up the offense with 38 assists, while Schetroma and sophomore Molly Dunfee (King of Prussia, Pa./Villa Maria Academy) had 14 digs, apiece, to pace the defense.

The University of Scranton volleyball team returns to action on Friday, as they travel to Susquehanna to take on Stevens in a neutral site match. Action gets underway at 5 p.m.
