The Stevenson game saw the Royals win an absolute thriller of a first set and never look back, riding a wave of momentum over the second and third sets to notch an impressive sweep over the visiting Mustangs.
The first set appeared to be an easy Scranton win early, but Stevenson came back to tie the match up at 25-25 to force a tiebreak. After trading points to make it a 26-26 match, the Royals finally finished off the first set with back-to-back points courtesy of a Margolies kill and a Boken service ace.
From there, the Royals were absolutely dominant, opening up massive leads early in both the second and third sets to coast to a three-set victory.
Overall, Margolies led the way again on the attack with 11 kills. It marked the 11th time on the 2021 season that Margolies has gone into double-figures in kills, as she also recorded six digs in the victory, as well.
Elsewhere, Boken had nine kills and three solo blocks, while Vitkus finished with eight kills. Rounding out the top attackers in the game was senior Trinity Manning (Point Lookout, N.Y./Kellenberg Memorial), who had seven kills.

And on defense, senior Molly Dunfee (King of Prussia, Pa./Villa Maria Academy) was impressive in the win turning away the Stevenson attack, finishing with 18 digs, marking the 11th time she has gone into double figures in that category this year.
