Box Score Wilkes-Barre, PA -- Junior
Ciaran Corr (Newtown Square, Pa. / Marple Newtown) scored a pair of goals as The University of Scranton men's soccer team battled Wilkes University to a 2-2 tie in Landmark Conference play on Tuesday evening.
With the tie, the Royals move to 6-2-4 on the season an 0-2-3 in conference action.
Wilkes got on the board early as Colin Schulmeister scored in the opening two minutes of action to give the Colonels a quick 1-0 lead. Neither side was able to find the back of the net the remainder of the first half as Wilkes held a 1-0 lead headed into the break.
Corr got the Royals on the board in the 56th minute and wasted no time scoring a second goal just 20 seconds later to give the Royals a 2-1 lead.
With less than five minute remaining in regulation Scranton gave up a penalty kick which Schulmeister converted to tie up the game at 2-2.

Charlie Smith (Devon, Pa. / Conestoga) finished with a season-high seven saves for Scranton. Freshman
Matt Capretto (Hockessin, Del. / Charter School of Wilmington) recorded a game-high six shots.
The men's soccer team returns to action on Saturday at Juniata at 1:00 PM.
