Scranton, PA -- The University of Scranton men's swimming team picked up a 158-138 win over Catholic on Saturday afternoon at the Byron Recreation Complex.
With the win, the Royals move to 4-0 on the year.
- The Scranton 'A' team won the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:37.58.
- Sophomore Jimmy O'Malley (Maple Glen, Pa. / LaSalle College) won the 1000 free with a time of 10:11.51.
- Sophomore Mike Finley (New Milford, N.J. / Don Bosco Prep) finished first in the 100 back with a swim of 54.38.
- O'Malley picked up his second win of the day in the 200 fly as he swam a 2:00.70.
- In the 100 free, senior Scott Majka (Marysville, Pa. / Trinity) took first with a time of 49.67.
- Finley notched his second first place finish of the meet in the 200 back with a swim of 2:03.32.
- O'Malley's third win of the day came in the 500 free as he booked a 4:53.24.
- Sophomore Matt Sherry (Glenside, Pa. / La Salle College) won the 100 fly with a time of 52.67.Â
- The Scranton men wrapped up the day with a win in the 400 free relay as the 'A' team clocked in at 3:15.82.
The men's swimming team returns to action next Saturday against Dickinson at 12:00 PM in the Byron Recreation Complex.
