ONEONTA, N.Y. – Freshman Kim Gingrass (Baldwin, N.Y./Sacred Heart Academy) captured a trio of individual victories and The University of Scranton women's swimming & diving team remained unbeaten in dual meets with victories over Hartwick and Stevens on Saturday afternoon at Moyer Pool in Oneonta.
The Royals notched a 215-76 victory over Hartwick and a 179-108 win against Stevens to improve to 8-0 in dual meets.
Gingrass captured the 200 free with a time of 2:01.86, the 1,000 free in 11:02.65 and the 200 back with a time of 2:13.54 for her second consecutive meet with multiple first-place finishes.
Junior Aviah Dahlgren (Honesdale, Pa./Wyoming Seminary) took home first place in both the 100 back in 1:02.42 and the 500 free in 5:28.62, while adding a second-place finish in the 200 IM with a time of 2:22.49.
The senior trio of Kayleigh Olszewski (Conshohocken, Pa./Academy of Notre Dame de Namur), Alyssa Benzija (Kinnelon, N.J./Kinnelon) and Michelle Kong (Edison, N.J./John P. Stevens) all added first-place finishes of their own as Olszewki won the 200 fly in 2:19.10, Benzija captured the 100 free in 56.20 seconds and Kong won the 100 fly in 1:02.72, just .11 seconds ahead of Stevens' Gabby Tyer who took second in 1:02.83.
Scranton closed out the meet with a victory in the 400 free relay as Gingrass, seniors Giavanna Baquerizo (Maywood, N.J./Immaculate Heart Academy) and Marina Nunziato (Cranford, N.J./Cranford) and Benzija touched the wall in 3:48.04.
On the diving boards, sophomore Nicole Stofko (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) won the one-meter event with 210.10 points.
The Royals are back in action on Friday, Dec. 1 for the Gettysburg Invitational that will get underway at 6 p.m.
