KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Senior midfielder Niamh Healy (Orangeburg, N.Y./Tappan Zee)Â of The University of Scranton women's soccer team earned United Soccer Coaches' (USC) All-American Second Team accolades as announced by the organization on Thursday afternoon.
This marks the second time in three seasons that a member of the women's soccer program has garnered All-American recognition following Hope Drewes and Teresa Hegarty in 2021. Healy is also the 12th All-American in women's soccer program history.
It has been a busy awards season for the senior who previously earned USC All-Region First Team, Landmark Conference Offensive Player of the Year and All-Landmark First Team honors.
Healy put together a prolific season offensively for the Royals as she led the Landmark in goals (19), points (40) and game-winning goals (seven). Her 19 goals were the most by a Scranton player since 2003 and ranked tied for 19th nationally.
The Orangeburg, N.Y., native scored two goals apiece in Landmark playoff victories over Elizabethtown and Catholic en route to earning MVP honors. Healy recorded a total of four multi-goal games on the season and scored a goal in 10 consecutive contests from Sept. 3 – Oct. 3.
