East Stroudsburg, PA -- The University of Scranton wrestling team was defeated 42-8 on Wednesday evening in a dual match at East Stroudsburg University.

• The Royals fell down early, dropping the first three matches of the night as the Warriors took an early 17-0 lead. 
• Sophomore Kosta Mavrikidis (Warren, N.J. / Paramus Catholic) earned a 17-1 (5:42) tech fall win at 149 to cut the lead to 17-5.
• Following a major decision loss at 157, Scranton picked up its second win of the night as sophomore Jake Rudy (Elizabethtown, Pa./ Elizabethtown Area) won a tight battle against Sebastian Adler of ESU, 14-12.
• Scranton lost the final four bouts of the night as East Stroudsburg went on to win by a final score of 42-8.

The wrestling team returns to action this Sunday for the Electric City Duals starting at 10:00 AM in the John Long Center.
