Box Score 2 MADISON, N.J. – The University of Scranton softball team (6-8, 1-1 Landmark) captured a 6-2 victory in the nightcap to earn a split of the doubleheader with the Drew Rangers (12-4, 1-1 Landmark) on Sunday afternoon at the Drew Softball Complex in Madison.
Drew notched a 13-2 victory in five innings in game one.

The Rangers broke the game open with 10 runs in the third and posted the 13-2 win in game one of Sunday's doubleheader.
A bases-loaded walk with two outs brought home a run in the first inning and the Rangers then added two more runs in the second to take an early 3-0 lead.
Sophomore Emma Tirollo (Orange, Conn./Amity Regional) was dealt the loss for Scranton after allowing three runs on one hit to go along with five walks and two strikeouts in 1 1/3 IP.
Drew plated 10 runs on seven hits in the fourth inning including a two-run single from Delaney O'Donoghue and a two-run shot from Francesca O'Kleasky that made it a 13-0 game after three innings.
The Royals battled back with a pair of runs in the top of the fourth as two singles and a walk loaded the bases with two away before senior Jenna Davida (Congers, N.Y./Clarkstown North) drew a bases-loaded walk and junior Alyssa Segnello (Flanders, N.J./Mount Olive) scored the second run of the inning on a wild pitch.
Segnello recorded a pair of hits in game one and Davida added a hit, two walks and a stolen base.
Bailey Comeau got the win for Drew after giving up two runs on six hits while walking three and fanning seven in 5.0 IP.

Tirollo allowed just two runs on six hits in a complete game effort and the Royals used a 13-hit attack to register a 6-2 victory in the nightcap.
Scranton struck for three runs in the third to break a scoreless tie as sophomore Alyssa Mosconi (Oakland, N.J./Indian Hills) delivered an double to plate Davida and sophomore Madison DeStefano (Spring Brook Twp., Pa./North Pocono) added an RBI single later in the inning.
In the top of the fifth, Mosconi reached with a one-out single, took second on an error charged to Rangers' LF Deja Robinson and scored on an RBI double from senior Lauren Cawley (Duryea, Pa./Scranton Prep) that made it a 4-0 game.
The Rangers cut the lead in half with two runs in the home half of the fifth, but the Royals added an insurance run in each of the last two frames to preserve the win. Sophomore Kylie Rochford (Tinton Falls, N.J./Red Bank Catholic) doubled with one away in the sixth and scored on an RBI single from junior Bailee Hendricks (Norristown, Pa./Norristown Area) and Cawley plated Mosconi with an RBI double in the seventh.
Tirollo allowed the two runs on six hits to go along with two walks and a career-high seven strikeouts in her 7.0 IP. Her seven strikeouts surpassed her previous career-high of six that she had set on two occasions this season.
Cawley and Mosconi both put together career days at the plate as the former went 4-4 with two RBI and a run scored, while Mosconi recorded a 3-3 day with an RBI and three runs scored. Both players set a new career-high in hits with their performances.
The Royals return home to host Marywood in a non-conference doubleheader on Tuesday afternoon with first pitch of game one set for 4 p.m.
