Royal Reflection shines a light on the senior student-athletes who embody what it means to be a Royal. In this edition, we feature Carley Noble of The University of Scranton softball team as she reflects on the moments that defined her time as a Royal.

Favorite Scranton Memory?

  • My favorite Scranton memory was the team bonding experiences we shared throughout the years. The time we spent together created friendships and memories I'll always value.

One lesson Scranton Athletics taught you?

  • Scranton Athletics taught me resilience. No matter the challenges or setbacks, you have to keep pushing forward.

Pregame or pre-competition ritual you'll miss the most?

  • I'll miss our team prayer the most because it always brought us together before competition.

Teammate who made the biggest impact on you?

  • Every teammate I've had from freshman year until now made a lasting impact on my experience at Scranton. Each person helped shape me in different ways.

Best advice you've received during your career?

  • The best advice I received was to control what you can control. Things won't always go your way, but you have to keep moving forward.

What does being a Royal mean to you?

  • Being a Royal means representing yourself with strength, dedication, and pride both on and off the field.

What are you most proud of from your time at Scranton?

  • I'm most proud of the friendships and relationships I built during my time at Scranton.

What's next after graduation?

  • After graduation, I'll be starting an internship with CohnReznick.

What surprised you most about yourself this past season?

  • I surprised myself with how mentally strong I was throughout the season.

How do you hope to be remembered by your coaches and teammates?

  • I hope to be remembered as a supportive teammate who was always there for others no matter the situation.
