Box Score 2 BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The University of Scranton baseball team (19-13, 9-6 Landmark) took the weekend series from the Moravian Greyhounds (9-22, 4-10 Landmark) in thrilling fashion with a 5-3 victory in the series finale on Sunday afternoon at Gillespie Field in Bethlehem.
With the victory, the Royals have clinched a spot in the Landmark Conference Tournament that will be held May 12-14 at Volpe Field in Scranton.
Moravian won the resumption of Saturday's suspended game by a score of 11-8 in 12 innings as Nick Henry hit a walk-off home run with two outs in the inning.

Henry's walk-off homer came after a single and a throwing error on a fielder's choice put two runners on with two outs in the 12th.
Graduate student lefty Ryan Heiser (New Milford, N.J./Saint Joseph Regional) was dealt the tough-luck loss for the Royals as he was charged with three unearned runs on five hits to go along with two walks and six strikeouts in a career-best 4 1/3 IP. The six strikeouts were also a career-high for Heiser.
Matt Snyder tossed four scoreless innings of relief for the Greyhounds and struck out six to earn the win.
Both teams had opportunities to break through in extra innings, but things remained locked at eight apiece until the 12th inning.
Scranton 5, Moravian 3
Junior John Zarnowski (East Brunswick, N.J./St. Joseph's) gave the Royals the lead with a pinch hit, go-ahead two-run inside the park homer in the top of the ninth and the visitors held on for the 5-3 victory to take the rubber match.
In the home half of the ninth, the Greyhounds put the first two runners on with nobody out before junior catcher Brendan Douthit (Monroe, N.Y./John S. Burke Catholic) threw out the potential tying run at second base as Cole Cherkas tried to advance on a passed ball.
Following a walk, senior right-hander Nick Reposa (Factoryville, Pa./Tunkhannock) got Chris Pow to ground into a game-ending 6-4-3 double play and clinch the series. Reposa got the final three outs to notch the first save of his career.
Ethan Weber took the loss for Moravian as he allowed two runs on two hits to go along with a walk and a strikeout in two innings of work.
Scranton struck first in the series finale with a run in the first as sophomore Jake Elston (New Milford, Conn./Canterbury School) drew a leadoff walk, advanced to second on a single and scored on an RBI single from graduate student Jake Lisicky (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall).
The 1-0 score held until the fifth inning when junior Corey Zientek (Sugarloaf, Pa./Hazleton Area) knocked in a run with an RBI single and Elston came around to score later in the inning on a throwing error charged to Greyhounds' catcher Connor Wengryn that made it 3-0.
However, Moravian battled back to tie the game with two runs in the seventh and one in the eighth via a two-run single from Cherkas and an RBI single from Wengryn.
Senior right-hander Daniel Johnson (Whitehouse Station, N.J./Immaculata) allowed two runs on four hits to go along with three walks and six strikeouts in seven innings of work for Scranton. Freshman righty Aidan Rumain (Martinsville, N.J./Immaculata) notched the victory for the Royals as he got the final out of the eighth inning with a strikeout.
The Greyhounds' Ross Huffman was charged with three runs (two earned) on five hits while walking four and fanning three in 7.0 IP.
Zientek had three hits on the day to lead the Royals, while fellow junior Matthew Querey (Wilmington, Del./Salesianum) added a hit, two walks, two stolen bases and a run scored.
The Royals return home to host Wilkes in a non-conference matchup on Tuesday evening at Volpe Field with first pitch slated for 5 p.m.
