The University of Scranton field hockey team has released the program's 2023 schedule with the Royals set to open the season at Muhlenberg on Sept. 1.

Scranton is slated to play 17 matches including eight at Weiss Field.

Following the opener at Muhlenberg, the Royals return home the next day to host York (Pa.) on Sept. 2 and will then host King's in a non-conference matchup on Sept. 6.

Landmark Conference play is slated to get underway on Sept. 16 at Moravian.

Later in September, the Royals will play consecutive home games against Vassar (Sept. 21) and Elizabethtown (Sept. 23) before hitting the road for three straight including a trip to rival Catholic on Sept. 30.

Head coach Colleen Moyer's team will host Goucher (Oct. 7), Wilkes (Oct. 11), Juniata (Oct. 14) and Lycoming (Oct. 25).

The Royals will take on a pair of NCAA Tournament teams from a season ago in York (Pa.) and Catholic.
