Tunkhannock, PA -- Senior Madalyne Buhler (Stony Point, N.Y. / Albertus Magnus) tied for medalist honors and led The University of Scranton women's golf team to a commanding 362-409 victory over Misericordia on Saturday afternoon at Stone Hedge Golf Course.

Buhler fired off a round of 80 (+9) to lead the Royals on the day. In her first ever competition for Scranton, freshman Alexandra Schaul (Holmdel, N.J. / Holmdel) finished third individually with a round of 90 (+19) including a 39 on the back nine.

Sophomore Lidia Marranca (Pittston, Pa. / Scranton Prep) shot a 91 (+20) to finish fourth on the day. Senior Victoria Dowling (East Northport, N.Y. / Our Lady of Mercy Academy) carded a 94 (+23) while sophomore Cassandra Weir (Staten Island, N.Y. / Notre Dame Academy) shot a 97 (+26). 

The women's golf team returns to action next Sunday when they take on Misericordia at Irem Temple Golf Course at 1:00 PM.
