SCRANTON, PA -- The University of Scranton women's volleyball team defeated Landmark Conference opponent Catholic University 3-0 Saturday afternoon, but later fell to Springfield College 3-0 at the John Long Center.
Game 1 vs. Catholic
The Basics

How it Happened
- The Royals defeated the Cardinals in three sets to record their second straight Landmark Conference win. Scranton finished the first set on an ace from freshman Kassidy Means to take a 1-0 lead. In the second set, the Royals scored five straight points to take a 19-14 advantage and ended the set 25-17. Senior Erin Keaveney delivered a game-ending kill in the third set to secure the sweep for the Royals.

- Means recorded a game-high 14 kills to pace the Royals.
- Senior Katherine Denitz and classmate Keaveney added 11 kills each.
- Senior Gianna Detorie led Scranton with 23 assists.
